The big news out of Paris yesterday was sneakers. Sneakers with haute couture. Seriously. They were at Dior and Chanel, where they marched bejeweled, covered with flowers, and sometimes accompanied by knee pads. It turns out that to get the sneakers, one must purchase the entire couture look. The awesome beauty, however, can be yours right now.
Makeup artist Peter Philips combined the best of both worlds at Chanel’s S/S14 haute couture show, painting a classic black cat eye on top and a just-as-thick line of silver sequins on the lower lashline—business on top, party on the bottom! To start, he lined the eye with Chanel’s Ligne Graphique De Chanel ($34) in Noir before using Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil ($28) in Claire for a soft finish. Then, plenty of coats of Le Volume de Mascara ($32) in Noir for mega-lashes.
